- Working in conjunction with the head chef and sous chef to plan seasonal menus.
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities.
- Consulting with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions.
- Ordering food supplies, monitoring food costs and staff overseeing and training for new dishes.
- Compliant to implement food hygiene and safety log systems.
- Oversee food preparation and supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers.
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
- Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies. Monitor sanitation and food practices and follow kitchen safety standards.
- Prepare and cook Mexican, Spanish and American style specialty foods
- Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
- Prepare mise en place for particular section
- Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
- Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
- Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
- At least 2 years experience as a chef is required
- Must have Mediterranean culinary experience
- Have successfully completed your chef trade qualification
- Be reliable, self-motivated, well organized and a great team player
- Demonstrate positive attitude & excellent communication skills
- Thrive in a busy environment while maintaining an eye for detail
- Hold a current driver’s license
Pay: $79,000.00 – $89,000.00 per year
