Female Disability Support Worker – Sunbury VIC (Child Participant)
Grace Quality Care Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Female Disability Support Workers to support a 9-year-old girl residing at Sunbury.
Participant is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who requires patient, compassionate and consistent support. She has complex behavioural support needs and benefits from support workers who can build trusting relationships, follow Behaviour Support Plans, and provide structured, predictable routines.
A Punjabi-speaking support worker would be highly regarded to assist with communication and cultural understanding; however, this is not essential.
About the Role
You will be supporting Agamjot by:
- Providing one-to-one support in a 24-hour residential setting.
- Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living.
- Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
- Supporting emotional regulation and structured daily routines.
- Encouraging participation in recreational and community activities.
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation.
- Working collaboratively with the Behaviour Support Practitioner, allied health professionals and the care team.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Has experience working with complex behaviours of concern.
- Is calm, patient and resilient.
- Can build strong therapeutic relationships with children.
- Is reliable, professional and committed to person-centred care.
- Punjabi speaking is preferred but not essential.
Essential Requirements
- Female applicants only.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Current Victorian Driver Licence (preferred).
- Previous disability support experience.
