Canterbury Medical Clinic is seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse (Division 1) to join our busy and professional medical practice on a full-time basis.
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 plus Superannuation
About the Role:
The successful applicant will provide comprehensive nursing care and support within a general practice environment while working collaboratively with General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct patient health assessments, screenings and risk assessments
· Perform diagnostic procedures including venepuncture, pathology collection, ECG, spirometry, urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring and vital sign observations
· Administer immunisations and manage vaccination programs
· Assist with Triage, Chronic Disease Management, Asthma, HbA1c Management and patient care planning
· Coordinate GP Management Plans, Team Care Arrangements and EPC referral
· Provide wound management and dressing procedures
· Maintain patient recalls, follow-up systems and accurate clinical documentation
· Assist doctors with clinical procedures and patient education
· Maintain clinical stock supplies, vaccination management, refrigeration and cold chain management
· Ensure compliance with infection control, workplace health and safety, and clinical protocols
Essential Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Australian Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in a General Practice is preferable
- Competence in the use of “Best Practice” Medical Software
- Excellent communication skill, ability to work independently
- Experience in preparing Patients Care Plan & Health Assessment are mandatory
- Knowledge of chronic disease management and general practice nursing procedures
