Primary objective
Provide asset and registration administration services to support the effective management of NT Fleet vehicles, plant and
equipment, ensuring accurate asset records, compliance with Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR) requirements, and efficient delivery of
fleet services.
Context statement
NT Fleet manages the light and heavy fleet for most government agencies and is responsible for the management, purchase,
disposal and maintenance of the fleet. Vehicles are leased to government agencies at commercial rates with a key focus on
providing low cost, fit for purpose vehicles which meet operational needs.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Accurately create and maintain asset records for all vehicles, plant and equipment within NT Fleet business systems and the
MVR Movers system.
2. Manage vehicle registration processes including new registrations, renewals, issuing number plates, trade plates and ownership
transfers in accordance with MVR requirements.
3. Coordinate the allocation and issuing of vehicles to customers, including arranging transport to regional locations and
completing all required documentation
4. Administer fuel card services including account setup, ordering, issuing, replacement and cancellation.
5. Arrange maintenance and repair services, raise and issue fleet orders and accurately process and finalise invoices for payment.
6. Ensure compliance with NT Fleet policies, MVR regulatory requirements and internal audit processes through accurate record
keeping, reporting and data validation.
7. Provide administrative support to the Acquisitions and Disposals Team and broader Fleet Operations team
as required.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Working knowledge of vehicle registration requirements, or the ability to acquire quickly.
2. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and achieve work outcomes in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to work
autonomously and manage competing demands.
3. Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with a strong client-focused approach and ability to liaise
effectively with diverse stakeholders.
4. Demonstrated ability to manage data and information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Sound knowledge of computer systems, records management and asset/fleet business systems, or the ability to acquire quickly.
6. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, innovation, ethical practice,
accountability, impartiality, diversity, and respect.
7. Hold a Current NT Drivers Licence (minimum C Class) or equivalent.
Desirable
1. Prior experience with MVR systems, such as Movers.
