About Us
We are a well-established 31-place Long Day Care centre located in Meadowbank, providing care and education for children across Nursery, Toddler and Preschool age groups.
We are looking for a passionate, reliable and experienced Diploma Qualified Educator / Room Leader to join our supportive team. This role is suitable for an educator who enjoys taking leadership within the room, supporting colleagues and contributing to high-quality educational programs and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the daily operation of the room
- Develop and implement engaging, play-based learning experiences
- Support the ongoing planning cycle, including observations, learning goals, follow-ups and reflections
- Ensure programs and practices align with the EYLF, NQF and National Quality Standards
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Mentor and support educators within the room
- Ensure accurate completion of room documentation and records
- Support routines, transitions, supervision and regulatory compliance
- Work collaboratively with the Centre Manager, Educational Leader and wider team
- Contribute to the centre’s Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement
Essential Requirements
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent
- Previous experience working in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting
- Previous Room Leader or leadership experience is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQF and National Quality Standards
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain/update
- Current Child Protection training
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, organised and confident in supporting a team
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development
