Working a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth, you’ll join the project’s plant maintenance team, providing tyre fitting and maintenance support across a substantial fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced Tyre Fitter who understands heavy mobile plant, takes pride in their work and can help keep a high-production earthworks fleet safe, reliable and available.

About the role
As a Tyre Fitter, you’ll be responsible for tyre fitting, inspection and maintenance across the project’s heavy mobile plant and associated equipment.
You’ll work across a range of heavy earthmoving equipment including articulated trucks, dozers, excavators, graders and wheel loaders.
What you’ll be doing
- Fit, remove, rotate and maintain tyres across heavy mobile plant and associated equipment
- Inspect tyres, rims and related components for signs of damage, wear or defects
- Undertake tyre repairs and replacements as required
- Support preventative maintenance and inspection activities across the project fleet
- Identify and report tyre defects and emerging maintenance requirements
- Ensure correct tyre pressures and equipment requirements are maintained
- Use appropriate tyre handling equipment and safe manual handling techniques
- Complete required tyre inspection and maintenance documentation
- Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor and wider maintenance team to minimise equipment downtime
- Maintain tyre fitting equipment and work areas to a high standard
- Participate in pre-starts, toolbox meetings and project safety activities
- Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with Georgiou’s safety, quality and compliance requirements
Your skills and experience
- Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology or relevant tyre fitting qualification
- Demonstrated experience fitting and maintaining tyres on heavy mobile plant and earthmoving equipment
- Experience working across articulated trucks, dozers, excavators, graders, wheel loaders or similar heavy equipment
- Previous mining, FIFO or large-scale civil construction experience will be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of safe tyre fitting practices and tyre handling equipment
- Current HR driver’s licence
- Construction White Card
- Strong commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively as part of a site maintenance team
- Physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of the role
