ARA Marine is seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their team to help support growth.
Location: 42 Zedora Turn, Henderson, WA 6166
Full time: 38 hours per week
Salary: $95,000 per annum + Superannuation
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Prepare mechanical engineering drawings plan and technical designs under the guidance of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists
- Assist in the design and development and modification of mechanical equipment and machinery
- Select appropriate tools equipment, and materials for engineering projects and maintenance activities
- Assemble, install, test and modify mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools, control systems, and hydraulic equipment
- Estimate material quantities, project costs, and machinery requirements to support project planning and execution
- Conduct and oversee field and laboratory testing to evaluate equipment performance and compliance
- Ensure designs, installations, and completed work comply with engineering specifications, relevant standards, regulations, and contractual requirements
- Support engineering teams by providing technical expertise throughout the design, installation, testing, and maintenance phases of projects.
Required skills and attributes:
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical drawings, plans and schematics
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Min 1 year of experience in a related field
- Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field
