The School Performance Division is seeking a skilled and self-motivated team player to work in the School Intervention in Improvement Unit and contribute to the Victorian Government's Intensive School Support (ISS) initiative, an exciting $33 million program providing targeted assistance to Victorian government schools. The successful applicant will have strong skills in project and program delivery, written communication (including writing governance papers and briefings), policy skills, data analysis and data visualisation/presentation skills. This role is fixed-term until 30 April 2027.
About the Division
School Performance Division: responsible for the frameworks and programs relating to government school performance and priority programs that support improved school performance.
The School Performance Division has two branches:

The School Performance Branch leads statewide coordination of frameworks and initiatives for improving the performance of government schools. This includes overseeing the Framework for Improving Student Outcomes 2.0 and associated processes including School Strategic Plans, Annual Implementation Plans and School Annual Reporting, school reviews, and other key programs for targeted school improvement.

The Priority Programs Branch leads initiatives targeted to priority initiatives that support improved school performance. This includes the Tutor Learning Initiative, Middle Years Literacy and Numeracy Support, the Student Excellence Program, Professional Learning Communities, and a range of other targeted programs.
About the Role
The fixed-term VPS5 Senior Program Advisor role will contribute to the successful delivery of the Intensive School Support initiative with a focus on (but not limited to) managing program implementation, monitoring and reporting, and developing school improvement insights for stakeholders and the system.
The role works closely with internal corporate staff and will also engages with regional staff/workforces and external suppliers.
This role is located in the School Intervention and Improvement Unit, School Performance Division, Central Office SRS.
