About the role
Clinical Lead – Women’s Health & Maternity Services
Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Lead to help shape the future of Women's Health and Maternity Services at a pivotal time for our directorate. This is a rare opportunity to take a founding leadership role in designing and delivering a contemporary, patient-centred service model spanning the full spectrum of women's health — from maternity and obstetrics to gynaecology and reproductive care.
What’s required?
Essential:
- Current AHPRA medical registration without conditions, undertakings or restrictions
- Fellows of Medical Colleges (RACGP, ACRRM, RANZCOG)
- Completed postgraduate hospital-based obstetrics and gynaecology training (RANZCOG Advanced Associate Procedural Training Program equivalent) at minimum of 6 months FTE,
- Current experience as Senior Medical Officer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology role and competency to be in-charge of department
- Meets eligibility and ability to commit to senior medical officer clinical and on-call shifts at CAH. A commitment to actively contribute to CAH’s strategic direction and Women’s Health and Maternity Services development, with the capacity to fulfil the requirements of this role as a genuine professional priority alongside other commitments
Desirable:
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead clinical team and collaborate as a key lead of multidisciplinary health care team, experience in medical workforce management
- Knowledge of health issues and community needs in relation to CAH’s catchments
- Familiarity with CAH’s clinical workforce referral pathways
- Acknowledgement of CAH’s strategic themes
