Moon is opening in the CBD, mid-August, and we're looking for a chef who wants to lead a founding team and help set the standard for a brand-new venue from day one. Where our sibling brand Lune Croissanterie is known for croissants, Moon does one thing and does it well: crullers. Twisty, crispy-on-the-outside, custardy-on-the-inside choux pastry, glazed and served fresh daily.
About the role and venue:
Working with the BOH Supervisor, this full-time leadership role is central to bringing Moon's kitchen to life, overseeing production and finishing of the crullers.
- Full-time, 38 hours/week across 4 days
- CBD venue, opening mid-August 2026, with training in the lead-up
- Trading 7 days a week
We're looking for a chef who:
- Has at least 2 years' experience in a fast-paced kitchen
- Brings strong leadership skills and a great work ethic
- Is confident with commercial kitchen tools and processes
- Has previous production experience — background in pastry or similar valued but not essential
- Has full working rights in Australia
