West Metals Recycling is seeking a reliable & friendly full-time entry level office assistant based in Melbourne‘s western suburbs (Melton).
You will need :
- Polite phone manners
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Good time management/organisation skills
- Valid drivers licence
- Positive & willing attitude
- Experience working with diverse or multicultural teams
About the position:
- General admin and answering phones
- Taking messages and passing on accurate messages to the company boss
- communicating & supporting our team
- Ordering parts for machinery if asked to do so
- Generating invoices when instructed
- Greeting customers & guests and directing them to the right team member
- Travelling by vehicle for office needs if required.
- Please note you will be the only administrative staff at reception
Correspondence:
- Sorting & managing incoming and outgoing mail
- Sending outgoing correspondence/emails
- Organising and managing couriers if needed.
Some other responsibilities you may undertake if required:
Expense Reporting: Collecting physical and digital receipts from staff, coding them to the correct budget categories, and compiling them into monthly expense reports.
Record keeping: storing and recording proof of purchases such as business receipts and tax invoices for the business.
Office maintenance:
Keeping reception area tidy, monitoring supply levels and ordering stationary and other company needs if required.

Full-time local position for immediate start
8.30am start and 4.30pm finish
(30 minute unpaid break)
Two 10 min paid rest breaks

$26 an hour plus super and leave entitlements
