The Langham Hotel Melbourne is currently looking for a Commis Chef to join our Main Kitchen Department, which consists of approximately 60 colleagues.
Previous experience in a fast paced working environment will be highly regarded, along with demonstrated experience in large volume production cooking.
Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the preparation of your section is prepared and completed to a five star standard.

Complete assigned duties across all workstations, for example, grilling, frying, roasting and cold preparation areas as directed

Advise the Senior Chef on duty of inventory items needed for operational needs as required

Ensuring food safety logs and requirements are met at all times
-
Actively promote and participate in teamwork and positive communication with the kitchen and other departments.

Previous experience in a large kitchen brigade, ideally within a luxury hotel or similar environment
