Working a 15:6 FIFO roster ex Perth, you’ll work alongside our experienced project and construction teams, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of significant bulk earthworks and civil construction activities.

About the role
Working closely with the Project Engineers and broader project team, you will provide engineering and technical support across assigned sections of the project, helping ensure works are delivered safely, to specification, on program and within budget.
You’ll gain exposure across planning and programming, productivity, cost control, subcontractor coordination, contractual requirements and HSEQ while working closely with the site construction team.
The role offers genuine hands-on experience in bulk earthworks and major civil construction, providing a strong platform to continue developing your career as a project delivery engineer.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide day-to-day engineering and technical support across assigned construction activities
- Assist with planning, coordinating and controlling project activities
- Develop short-term programs and look-ahead plans, including resource requirements for assigned works
- Assist with maintaining and updating project programs and schedules
- Monitor construction progress and productivity across assigned scopes
- Monitor costs and financial outcomes and support effective project cost control
- Provide technical input to construction teams, contractors and subcontractors
- Assist with subcontractor and supplier coordination and administration
- Support the project team in meeting contractual obligations across cost, quality, safety, risk, resources, scope and time
- Assist with identifying, managing and reporting project risks and opportunities
- Work closely with Supervisors and field teams to resolve technical and construction issues
- Ensure works are undertaken in accordance with project drawings, specifications and HSEQ requirements
- Build positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Your skills and experience
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Previous site-based experience on a civil construction project
- Previous experience on tailings, mining infrastructure or large-scale civil earthworks projects will be highly regarded.
- Working knowledge of earthworks, roadworks, concrete or similar civil construction activities
- Strong interest in developing a career in project delivery and civil construction
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information
- Developing understanding of construction planning, programming, productivity and cost control
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with construction teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders
- Competency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn project planning and document management systems
- Previous FIFO or Pilbara project experience will be highly regarded
- Construction White Card
- Valid C Class driver’s licence
