About the Role
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Executive Manager Operations, Governance and Culture provides strategic and operational leadership across People and Culture, Governance, Risk and Compliance, Strategic Projects, Marketing and Communications, IT coordination, and Administration Services.
The role is responsible for ensuring organisational systems, governance frameworks and support services are effective, compliant and aligned with inTouch’s strategic objectives. Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will drive organisational capability, operational excellence, continuous improvement and a culture of collaboration, innovation and accountability, while overseeing risk, compliance and key strategic initiatives that support organisational sustainability and impact.
In this role, your key focus area will be:
Strategy, Leadership and Organisational Development
- Provide strategic leadership and advice to the CEO and executive team across People and Culture, organisational development, communications, risk, compliance and operational support functions.
- Lead strategic and operational initiatives that strengthen organisational capability, systems, service delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation of organisational strategic priorities through effective project oversight, planning, and coordination.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement across all support functions.
People and Culture
- Provide oversight and strategic direction across People and Culture functions including workforce planning, employee relations matters, performance development, policy development, recruitment, wellbeing, and organisational culture initiatives.
- Ensure People and Culture practices are compliant with legislative, industrial and organisational requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and initiatives that strengthen organisational culture, staff engagement and inclusion.
- Lead organisational change initiatives and support HR Business Partner in implementing people management practices effectively.
Risk, Compliance and Governance
- Lead the organisation’s governance and board secretariat functions, including the preparation and coordination of Board and Committee agendas, papers, assist with minutes, action registers and governance reporting.
- Provide governance advice and ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and organisational requirements to support effective Board decision-making and organisational accountability.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of organisational risk management and compliance frameworks.
- Ensure organisational compliance with legislative, regulatory, contractual and policy obligations.
- Coordinate organisational audit and accreditation processes and support continuous improvement initiatives arising from audit findings and compliance reviews.
- Monitor organisational risks and support the development of mitigation strategies and operational controls.
- Foster a safe and compliant workplace environment consistent with organisational policies, work health and safety obligations and relevant legislation.
Operations, Administration and Systems
- Oversee administrative and operational support services to ensure effective and efficient organisational functioning.
- Manage outsourced IT support services and coordinate organisational IT operational requirements, including systems support, user support processes, cybersecurity coordination, AI and technology improvements.
- Support the development and implementation of operational policies, systems and procedures that strengthen organisational effectiveness and service delivery.
- Oversee communications and marketing functions to support organisational visibility, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications objectives.
- Ensure organisational systems and operational processes are responsive, effective and aligned with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with work health and safety requirements, organisational policies and relevant legislation.
Marketing and Communication
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership of inTouch’s marketing and communications functions to support organisational visibility, stakeholder engagement, advocacy and brand positioning.
- Lead the development and implementation of organisational communication and engagement strategies aligned with inTouch’s strategic priorities and values.
- Oversee internal and external communications, including digital communications, social media, publications, campaigns and promotional activities.
- Ensure all communications and marketing materials are culturally responsive, aligned with organisational messaging and reflective of inTouch’s mission and strategic goals.
- Provide oversight of brand management and ensure consistency across all communication platforms and organisational materials.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with media, sector stakeholders, community organisations, and external partners to strengthen organisational profile and engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate communication and marketing activities to support continuous improvement and strategic outcomes.

Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience overseeing multidisciplinary support functions including People and Culture, organisational development, administration, communications, risk and compliance.
- Proven ability to lead strategic and operational initiatives that strengthen organisational capability, systems, service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing multidisciplinary teams within complex service environments.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary People and Culture practices, workforce development, employee relations, organisational change and performance management.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing professional learning including stakeholder engagement and quality improvement processes.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management, compliance, audit and accreditation processes within community services, not-for-profit, or similarly regulated environments.
- Experience overseeing operational systems, administration functions, and outsourced service providers, including information technology support services.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to build collaborative partnerships across internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, lead organisational change, and operate effectively in complex and fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with the ability to translate strategic priorities into operational outcomes.
Desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and/or Business Management/Administration and /or Organisational Development and/or Community Services or a related discipline.
- Experience working within the family violence, community services, multicultural, or not-for-profit sectors.
- Understanding of culturally responsive and trauma-informed practice frameworks will be an advantage.
- Experience managing organisational projects, strategic initiatives or sector development activities.
