Occuhealth is seeking Occupational Hygiene Technicians and Hygienists to join our growing Hygiene team.
Based from either our Belmont or Mandurah office, you’ll work across a variety of occupational hygiene projects throughout metropolitan Perth, regional Western Australia and major FIFO sites.
You’ll be supported by experienced Occupational Hygienists, specialist field resources and our NATA-accredited laboratory, with comprehensive training and mentoring available for candidates.

The Role
You will deliver occupational hygiene monitoring and consulting services across metropolitan and regional Western Australia.
Key responsibilities include:

Exposure Monitoring: Conduct occupational hygiene monitoring and sampling across a range of workplace hazards, including airborne contaminants, noise, vibration, and water quality.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare professional reports and recommendations that meet Occuhealth’s high-quality standards
- Fit Testing and Health Surveillance: From time to time, perform respiratory and hearing protection fit testing and undertake Audiometric and Spirometry assessments
- Collaboration: Work within a high-performing team in a fast paced, supportive and dynamic environment
About you
We are seeking motivated candidates looking to begin or continue a career in occupational hygiene.
You will bring:
-
Experience: Site exposure to occupational hygiene, environmental monitoring, fit testing and/or health surveillance, laboratory work, or practical experience within a related technical field; or
- Qualifications: Completed or undertaking a science-based tertiary qualification or relevant industry qualification
- Technical Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow technical and field documentation procedures
- Outlook: A strong work ethic and willingness to support our clients through excellent customer service and willingness to assist them to meet their goals.
- Interpersonal Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and work effectively with clients
- Flexibility: A can do attitude with a willingness to undertake FIFO, DIDO and ad hoc assignments, including short and long-term projects
- Driver’s Licence: A current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
- Working Rights: Australian working rights
For experienced technicians or hygienists, any of the following will be highly regarded:

Experience delivering occupational hygiene services on site
- Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry,
- MAQT Hygiene Sampler Registration
- Experience in statistical analysis and HMP review and development
- Experience preparing technical reports with recommendations
Qualifications or training such as AIOH Basic Principles, Registered Noise Officer, Mine Air Quality Officer, RESPFIT accreditation, Audiometric Officer or spirometry will be highly regarded but is not expected with new to industry applicants. Experience working within mining, construction, oil and gas, or FIFO environments is also desirable.
Candidates who are new to the industry will receive comprehensive training and mentoring before undertaking independent fieldwork.
