About the Practice
We are a busy, friendly and growing General Practice serving families in the local community.
Our practice cares for patients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, with a significant Arabic-speaking community. We pride ourselves on providing warm, respectful and culturally sensitive healthcare and developing long-term relationships with our patients and their families.
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and compassionate Registered Nurse who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and is willing to contribute wherever needed.
We understand the importance of balancing work and family life and are happy to offer flexible working hours for the right person.
About the Role
The Registered Nurse will work closely with our GPs, reception team and other clinical staff to provide high-quality patient care and support the day-to-day running of the practice.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being busy, takes initiative and values teamwork.
Responsibilities may include:
- Immunisations and childhood vaccinations
- Wound care and dressings
- Chronic disease management and care plans
- Health assessments
- ECGs, spirometry and other clinical procedures
- Assisting doctors with minor procedures
- Infection control and sterilisation

Who We Are Looking For
We are particularly looking for someone who is:
- Hardworking and dependable – someone who is willing to get involved and help the team
- Friendly and compassionate – our patients should feel comfortable and cared for
- A team player – willing to work collaboratively with doctors, nurses and reception staff
- Flexible – comfortable adapting to the changing needs of a busy GP practice
- Well organised – able to manage competing priorities and maintain good clinical documentation
- Family-oriented – someone who enjoys looking after children, parents, grandparents and extended families within the community
- Culturally sensitive – respectful of the diverse backgrounds, cultures and beliefs of our patients
- Community-minded – interested in becoming a long-term member of the practice rather than simply filling a position
Arabic Language Skills
Our practice has a large number of Arabic-speaking patients and families.

An understanding of Arabic culture and the needs of migrant and multicultural families would also be an advantage.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Appropriate professional indemnity insurance
- Current CPR certification
- Australian working rights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- General Practice nursing experience preferred, although nurses from other clinical backgrounds are encouraged to apply
Experience with immunisations, chronic disease management, wound care and general practice software would be advantageous.
What We Offer
We want our nurses to enjoy coming to work and to feel that they are genuinely part of the practice.
We offer:
- Flexible and family-friendly working hours
- Part-time or full-time options
- A supportive GP and nursing environment
- A friendly and culturally diverse workplace
- A strong emphasis on teamwork
- Opportunity to develop General Practice nursing skills
- A varied role with a broad range of clinical work
- Long-term employment opportunities
- A practice that values reliability, hard work and initiative
- The opportunity to build relationships with local patients and families over many years
Our Practice Culture
We believe that a good medical practice depends on the whole team working together.
We are looking for someone who is willing to help their colleagues, communicate openly, work hard when the practice is busy and contribute to creating a positive environment for both staff and patients.
At the same time, we recognise that our staff have families and commitments outside of work. We are happy to discuss flexible hours, school-hours arrangements and other family-friendly working arrangements for the right candidate.
If you are a caring, hardworking Registered Nurse looking for a friendly practice where you can become a valued member of the team and the local community, we would love to hear from you.
