Apex Care Services is seeking a passionate, experienced and dedicated OSHC Coordinator to join our Beyond School Care team. This role supports the delivery of high-quality Outside School Hours Care for children with disabilities in a safe, inclusive and engaging environment.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Coordinator who can confidently lead a team, support the learning and development of children with disabilities, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our Beyond School Care program. The program has a current enrolment of up to 20 children and ratios with 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3.
About the Role
As the OSHC Coordinator, you will lead the team and oversee the delivery of high-quality care in a safe, inclusive and engaging environment. You will support daily operations, guide staff practice, build positive relationships with families, and help ensure the service meets relevant care, safety and compliance requirements.
OSHC Service Hours:
· Before School Care: 6am to 9am
· After School Care: 2:30pm – 6pm
· Vacation Care: 8am – 4pm
Key responsibilities include:
· Lead, mentor and support the team to deliver safe, inclusive and engaging care.
· Supervise children and foster an inclusive environment through age-appropriate activities.
· Plan and implement engaging educational, recreational and life-skill activities.
· Support staff with daily routines and responsibilities.
· Build positive relationships with children, families and team members.
· Ensure the service operates in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and regulations.
· Maintain accurate daily records and documentation.
· Support compliance with health, safety and child protection requirements.
· Assist with staff rostering and daily operational requirements.
· Respond professionally to parents/carers and address any concerns.
· Support the service during school holiday programs when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification as per ACECQA guidelines.
· Previous experience working in Outside School Hours Care (OSHC), childcare, disability support, or a similar environment.
· Previous team leader or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
· Strong communication and leadership skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· A genuine passion for working with children and supporting inclusive outcomes.
· Strong organisational and time-management skills.
· A positive, professional and reliable attitude.
· Experience working within the NDIS or disability support sector is desirable.
· Previous experience using CRM or client management software is desirable.
Essential Requirements
· Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
· Ability to get NDIS Worker Screening Check or Yellow Card
· Current Police Check.
· Current Education and Care First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications.
· Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent qualification as per ACECQA guidelines
· Ability to meet all employment and child-safety requirements (National Child Safety training)
· Understanding of childcare legislation, child-safe standards, and relevant education and care requirements.
· Food safety training or willingness to complete relevant food safety training, if required for the service.
