MECHANICAL FITTER
Newland Precision Engineering is a specialist manufacturer of drilling and mining equipment, delivering high-quality engineering solutions to clients across Australia and Internationally. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our Kalgoorlie Team. This position is workshop based and will report to the Workshop Manager
The position will be responsible for duties including:
- Assembly of manufactured components.
- Repairs and Maintenance of customer owned assets and equipment.
- Mechanical Assembly and Diagnostics.
- Hydraulic/Pneumatic Assembly and Diagnostics.
- Commission and repair machines and equipment on site as required.
- Support customers and ensure they receive the highest quality service.
- Comply with Quality Procedures and Policies in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality System
- Comply with HSE Procedures and Policies in accordance with ISO 45001 Safety Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
Successful applicant must have:
- Trade Certificate - Mechanical Trade
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience with Boart Longyear or underground diamond drills is desirable, not essential.
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- Current Forklift Ticket.
- Strong Problem Solving and Analytical skills.
- Strong Organisational and Communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- High level of safety orientation.
