Mediix is partnering with an established multidisciplinary private practice in Melbourne's northern suburbs to appoint a Speech Pathologist to their growing team. What sets this role apart: you choose the caseload that suits you. Whether you want to build a paediatric caseload, focus on adults, or work across both, the practice will shape the role around your clinical strengths and the areas you want to grow into.
This is a fully clinic-based position — no driving between schools or client homes, no community travel — with a warm, collegial team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and allied health support staff working out of a modern, purpose-designed clinic.
About the role
You'll build your own caseload from the practice's steady referral base. Depending on your preference, that might look like:

Paediatrics — early language delay, ASD, DLD, articulation and phonology, fluency, AAC, school-age literacy and social communication

Adults — acquired communication disorders, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication and dysphagia

Mixed — a genuine blend across ages, if variety is what you're after
Day to day, you will:

Complete comprehensive assessments and formulate clear clinical impressions

Develop individualised, evidence-based therapy plans

Deliver 1:1 sessions in clinic, with group work where clinically indicated

Collaborate closely with the in-house MDT on shared clients

Partner with families, carers and support workers through coaching and education

Maintain clinical documentation and complete NDIS, Medicare and DVA reporting as required

Contribute to team case reviews, in-house PD and peer discussion

About you

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology

Working with Children Check (VIC) and NDIS Worker Screening
