What you'll be doing
As a Dietitian Assistant, you will provide clinical nutrition support under the guidance of qualified Dietitians, helping patients achieve optimal nutritional outcomes during their hospital stay. This role combines direct patient interaction, nutrition screening, menu management and multidisciplinary collaboration to support the delivery of high-quality nutrition care.
Conduct nutrition risk screening, monitor patient nutritional status and refer at-risk patients to Dietitians
Support nutrition care through menu selection assistance, meal monitoring and implementation of approved nutrition interventions
Provide simple nutrition education and guidance to patients and carers within delegated scope of practice
Maintain accurate patient records, clinical documentation and departmental data in line with NSW Health requirements
Participate in quality improvement, professional development, consumer-focused care and patient safety initiatives
