Claims Administration Support Officer
We are seeking an Administration professional to join our Claims team. As a Claims Administration Support Officer, you will play a key role in helping to minimise company expenditure by ensuring claims are lodged promptly and managed fairly in line with company procedures.
This position also supports Capricorn Risk’s growth objectives by preparing accurate domestic quotes, processing changes to existing member protections, and providing efficient administrative support to both members and internal stakeholders.
What you’ll do
- Receive new claim notifications and action all associated lodgement tasks.
- Manage claims lodgement from the initial advice through to registration, including setting up the claim correctly in the system, reviewing all documentation and obtaining any required supporting information.
- Maintain claim files and ensure accurate application of the correct protection interpretation, limits and excesses, while maintaining a high standard of file management and knowledge of protection wordings and claims procedures.
- Maintain good member and staff relationships by making prompt decisions, maintaining good communication throughout the claims lodgement process and following through with promises made.
What you’ll bring

Advanced skills in the use of MS Office including Outlook (essential).

Intermediate understanding of relevant claims system (desirable).

Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to show initiative and work with minimum supervision.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written with good attention to detail.
Experience
Customer service and administration experience.
Insurance experience preferred.
