Job Description
Seeking an experienced and dynamic bar supervisor to join a family-owned company located in the heart of Zetland, NSW. The establishment boasts a lively pub atmosphere with sensational food. This role requires a confident and enthusiastic leader with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge in line with RSA standards, extensive knowledge of bar work + alcoholic beverages, ability to manage busy shifts and understand both food and beverage menus extensively.
Responsibilities
- Perform the tasks of order taking and maximize sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.
- Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance; ensure items are announced.
- Keep tables and service areas clean and tidy.
- Take guests orders and prepare alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages in timely and efficient fashion.
- Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service.
- General cleaning and maintenance of venue facilities
- Maximize sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.
- Maintain currency of RSA certification, amendments and updates and adhere to RSA principles.
- Training and supervising staff
- Managing workflow and delegating roles during a busy service.
- General troubleshooting for technical and customer issues
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements within the pub/restaurant industry.
- Strong bar and alcohol knowledge.
- Exceptional communication and problem solving skills.
- Experience working in pubs or bars.
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Must have valid RSA
