Manager Surgery & Procedural Services
Permanent full time 80 per week + monthly ADO $61.79 per hour
Manager, Surgery & Endoscopy Services is a critical leadership role responsible for driving timely access to planned surgery and delivering an exceptional patient experience across Grampians Health.
Through strategic and operational oversight, the position leads the optimisation of patient pathways, ensures compliance with Department of Health planned surgery access requirements and drives service performance across multiple sites.
The role provides leadership and governance across surgical referral management, waiting list administration, theatre and procedure room scheduling and patient communications. Working collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders, the Manager plays a key role in improving access, maximising resource utilisation and ensuring patients receive safe, efficient and person-centred care.
Day to day:
- Provide operational leadership to ensure the efficient delivery of planned surgery services in line with GH strategic priorities and Department of Health (DH) policies.
- Oversee financial and resource management to optimise service delivery within budgetary constraints
- Lead service redesign initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Surgery & Endoscopy Services.
- Ensure accurate data monitoring, reporting, and compliance with DHHS policies and Statements of Priorities (SoP) in collaboration with Decision support
What we need from you:
- Excellent understanding of Surgical and Endoscopy procedures
- Relevant qualification and professional registration (e.g. AHPRA) for your area of expertise.
- Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the role e.g., Health management, Health informatics is desirable
- Superior ability in data analysis and interpretation as well as presentation of reports.
- Demonstrable recent experience developing and managing a successful team.
