About us:
CNS Travel Pty Ltd is an established inbound tour operator based in Chatswood, NSW. We provide inbound travel services across Australia for overseas travel agents and clients, particularly from Taiwan and China.
Our work involves coordinating customized Australian travel arrangements, including accommodation, transport, attractions, group tours, supplier bookings, and on-tour support.
We focus on providing reliable, well-organised, and culturally appropriate travel services to overseas partners and inbound tourists.
Required Qualifications:
· At least a Certificate III qualification in tourism, travel, hospitality, business, or a related field;
· A Bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality, international tourism management, or a closely related discipline will be highly regarded;
· Additional industry training in travel consulting, airline reservation, tour operations, or customer service will be viewed favorably.
Required Experience:
Applicants must have at least 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Travel Consultant, Travel Coordinator, Tour Coordinator, Inbound Tour Consultant, or in a similar travel industry role.
Applicants must have practical experience in consulting with clients or travel agents, preparing customized itineraries and quotations, managing hotel, attraction, transport and tour bookings, and coordinating with travel suppliers from enquiry through to confirmation and completion.
Applicants must also have experience working with Taiwan and/or China travel markets, including communicating with Mandarin-speaking clients, overseas travel agents, or travel partners, and understanding the travel preferences, service expectations, and cultural communication needs of these markets.
Experience in Australian inbound tourism and group tour arrangements will be highly regarded.
Required Skills:
1. Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese are highly preferred, as the role involves regular communication with overseas clients from Taiwan and China;
2. Competent English language ability for professional email, phone, supplier, and client communication;
3. Good understanding of Taiwanese and Chinese client expectations, travel preferences, service standards, and cultural communication styles;
4. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple bookings, deadlines, and client requests at the same time;
5. High attention to detail when preparing itineraries, quotations, booking records, invoices, and travel documents;
6. Ability to respond calmly and effectively to unexpected operational disruptions, such as flight delays, cancellations, accommodation changes, vehicle issues, or last-minute itinerary amendments;
7. Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle enquiries, changes, and complaints professionally;
8. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team environment;
9. Proficiency in using email, booking records, spreadsheets, and standard office software.
Proposed tasks:
1. Determine the travel requirements of overseas travel agents, group clients, and inbound tourists, including travel dates, group size, destination preferences, accommodation standards, transport needs, budget, dietary requirements, special interests, and any cultural or service expectations of Taiwan and China market travelers;
2. Suggest suitable Australian travel itineraries to overseas travel agents and clients based on available travel routes, travel time, transport convenience, hotel and attraction availability, cost, client preferences, and the overall travel experience for the end travelers;
3. Make, amend, monitor, and confirm travel and accommodation reservations for inbound travel groups and individual travelers, including hotels, coaches, airport transfers, attractions, restaurants, tours, and other travel services, and advise overseas agents or travelers of relevant flight, coach, ferry, cruise, train, or local transport connections where required;
4. Notify overseas travel agents, group leaders, and travelers of confirmed travel dates, itinerary timing, meeting points, luggage or baggage limits where applicable, supplier deadlines, tour conditions, and any relevant health, entry, visa, or travel-related requirements affecting their Australian travel arrangements;
5. Provide practical information to overseas travel agents, group leaders, and tourists regarding Australian tourist attractions, tour availability, opening hours, booking procedures, group entry conditions, cancellation policies, and procedures for dealing with issues such as lost property, lost documents, missed bookings, or unexpected travel disruptions;
6. Assist with travel clearances and pre-tour operational arrangements where required, including checking supplier requirements, preparing passenger lists or rooming lists, coordinating group entry details, confirming special requests, and ensuring all necessary documents and booking confirmations are ready before the tour or service date;
7. Collect or coordinate payments from overseas travel agents or clients, prepare and issue invoices, and provide confirmed itineraries, booking confirmations, vouchers, hotel details, attraction tickets, transport information, and other relevant travel documentation to agents, group leaders, or travelers;
8. Provide information on travel-related matters where required, including travel insurance options, supplier terms and conditions, payment methods, cancellation rules, government or customs-related travel information, and practical payment arrangements for travelers during their stay in Australia;
9. Answer enquiries from overseas travel agents, group leaders, inbound tourists, and local suppliers, and offer suitable suggestions about Australian tours, travel routes, accommodation options, attractions, restaurants, transport arrangements, local customs, and service standards;
10. Provide brochures, product information, supplier details, and practical travel information on local, interstate, and Australian inbound tour products, including places of interest, optional tours, hotel options, attraction highlights, and destination information for use by overseas agents and travelers;
11. Discuss transport availability and costs with coach companies, transfer providers, hotels, attractions, overseas travel agents, and clients, and compare suitable options based on group size, itinerary timing, route convenience, supplier availability, traveler comfort, and budget.
Proposed Annual Earnings for the position:
The salary for this full-time position is AUD $75,000 to AUD $80,000 per annum plus superannuation, based on 38 ordinary working hours per week.
The final salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and suitability for the role.
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
