Drafter – Global Rail Infrastructure Team
We are seeking a Drafter to join our Global Rail Infrastructure Team as part of the continued growth of our Rail business.
This full-time opportunity is ideally suited to a recent graduate or early career drafter who is looking to join a dynamic, collaborative and mobile design team.
In this role, you will provide drafting and design support for rail and civil infrastructure projects across concept, definition, detailed design and construction phases.
Location
This is an office-based position in Perth, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. You will work as part of the Global Rail Infrastructure Team, led by personnel based in Perth, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings for rail track, civil works, earthworks, drainage and associated infrastructure.
- Develop alignment plans, longitudinal sections, cross-sections and track layouts.
- Produce Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings in accordance with project specifications and standards.
- Maintain drawing registers and ensure compliance with document control requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers to translate design intent into accurate, constructible drawings.
- Incorporate design changes and manage revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry drafting standards, including AS/NZS, ARTC and PTA WA requirements.
- Support multidisciplinary coordination across rail civil and structural disciplines.
What you'll bring
Highly Regarded
- Experience in rail or civil infrastructure drafting.
- Understanding of rail geometry, track components and civil design principles.
- Exposure to multidisciplinary infrastructure project environments.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering Drafting, or equivalent qualification.
