Standing Room Coffee is looking for a reliable and experienced Part-Time Chef to join our kitchen team at our Fitzroy North location.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys early starts, works well in a small team, and has experience in a fast-paced kitchen or café environment.
The Role
We are looking for a Part-Time Chef to work 4 days per week, Monday to Friday only.
The role will involve early morning starts and will focus on assisting with sandwich assembly, daily prep, cookie production, and general kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with early morning sandwich assembly
- Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep tasks
- Assist with cookie production and baked goods
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workspace
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily service
About You
- Previous kitchen experience is required
- Confident working in a fast-paced café or food production environment
- Reliable, organised and punctual
- Comfortable with early morning starts
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
