T-Shirt Printer / Apparel Decorator – Full Time

Must be available Monday to Friday, between 7:30am–4:00pm or 8:30am–5:00pm.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on T-Shirt Printer / Apparel Decorator to join our growing apparel division at Same Day Printing.
This is a production-focused role, with the opportunity to develop your skills across materials, methods, and product knowledge as the department continues to expand.
You’ll be working with Direct to Film (DTF), Full-Colour Heat Transfer Vinyl, and Specialty Heat Transfer Films across a wide range of products including tees, polos, hoodies, gym wear, bags, hats, umbrellas and more.
What You’ll Do
- Review and prepare incoming orders for production
- Set up, operate and troubleshoot printing and pressing equipment
- Manage daily production workflow and meet tight turnaround times
- Maintain consistent quality across all garments
- Monitor, maintain and order stock (garments, films, consumables)
- Keep production area clean, safe and organised
- Support and guide casual/part-time team members
- Support other production areas and teams within the business as needed
Growth & Responsibility
- Play a key role in the day-to-day running of the apparel production area as it grows
- Work with suppliers to explore new materials and finishes
- Build knowledge across garment types, decoration methods and best-use cases
- Confidently communicate apparel options with internal team and clients
- Contribute to improving workflows, processes and product offering
- Work with our suppliers to explore new apparel materials and finishes
- Share product knowledge with our enquiry and design teams
- Help our marketing team promote apparel range online and across social media
- Keep our team uniforms fresh and on-brand
About You
You’re energetic, creative, and take pride in producing top-quality work.
Required:
✅ Proven experience in apparel decoration or garment printing
(Heat press, DTF, DTG, vinyl or similar)
✅ Strong understanding of garment placement, alignment and consistency
✅ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
✅ Physically fit - this is a hands-on role
✅ A team player who enjoys contributing ideas and solutions
Highly Regarded:
- Experience with DTF workflows
- Experience managing stock or production workflows
- Ability to train or guide junior staff
- Confidence discussing products, materials and print methods
