Your Opportunity
As the Manager, Executive Services you will be responsible for:
Providing high level support to the office of the General Manager and the Senior Leadership team;
Managing executive workflows and act as a key connection point between the region, TAFE Queensland Corporate, and external stakeholders; and
Leading, managing and providing support to a team of Executive Support Officers while driving high levels of practice and professionalism.
This position reports to the General Manager.
This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, to 22 December 2028 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at TAFE Mooloolaba however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of showing Initiative, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer and Taking Responsibility.
Provide confidential and strategic advice to the General Manager and the Senior Leadership team in relation to administrative, human resource, governance, government legislation, standards and policy and operational matters.
Establish, maintain and continually improve the effective flow and impact of communication between the General Manager and TAFE Queensland Chief Executive Officer and Executives, staff and students of the Region, industry, the community and other key state, national and international stakeholders.
Act as the General Manager's representative by ensuring that significant issues or events, often of a sensitive, confidential nature, are managed effectively, determining the extent to which matters should be escalated and drawing on the most suitable resources required to achieve appropriate outcomes.
Co-ordinate and prepare correspondence, briefing papers, submissions, agendas, discussion papers and reports for/and on behalf of the General Manager, including responding to Ministerial, Departmental, TAFE Queensland and client requests.
Provide a comprehensive range of executive services to the Region's Senior Leadership team including the coordination and preparation of meeting papers, minutes and reports.
Lead and manage a high performing executive services support team, including the development of standardised executive business practices to enhance outcomes for the Senior Leadership team.
Undertake high level research and analysis as required with a view to formulating appropriate recommendations and workable solutions to resolve complex issues.
Negotiate persuasively and effectively with senior management, staff, external agencies and the community, on sensitive and complex issues, including influencing commitment to agreed outcomes.
Support organisational change activities through the modelling of appropriate behaviours, including the ability to balance risk, and display exemplary standards of integrity, ethics and consistency.
Achieve set performance measures while fostering the development of a culture which values innovation, improves motivation and performance through continuous improvement.

Proven ability to prepare timely and accurate advice, briefings, substantial reports, policy papers and submissions on complex issues as they relate to vocational education and training and ability to exercise sound judgement, integrity and discretion in handling matters of a sensitive and confidential nature.

Highly Desirable Requirements
Relevant high-level experience in an Executive Services role.
