Enrich Your Everyday
Vinarchy was created in 2025 through the merger of Accolade Wines and Pernod Ricard Winemakers — forming a bold, innovative wine business producing across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South Africa, Chile and the US. With iconic brands like Jacob’s Creek, Hardys and Campo Viejo, plus future‑focused disruptors like Greasy Fingers, J‑Harden and Dolly Wines, we’re redefining the wine category.
We’re now seeking a Laboratory Technician to support our busy, high‑performing lab team.
If you love hands‑on science, thrive in fast‑paced environments and want to be part of a company pushing boundaries, this role is for you.
Role Details
Your days will be a mix of hands‑on analysis, problem‑solving and teamwork. You’ll move between sampling wine, juice, spirits and RTDs, running routine analysis, and keeping the lab humming during peak periods. You’ll contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of a fast paced and well organised workspace, support colleagues across the lab and wider business, and jump in wherever needed to keep things flowing.
This role will involve performing many different types of laboratory analysis, from classical wet techniques to microbiological plating and reading through to operation of high-end scientific equipment. You’ll collect samples from across the winery and upload accurate results into laboratory software platforms.
When something looks off, you’ll flag it quickly to the Lab Team Leader. You’ll also keep an eye on consumables, ensuring the lab is always stocked and ready for action.
This role is based at Rowland Flat in the Barossa Valley and will involve an element of rotating shift work and overtime (particularly during vintage).
Your Key Accountabilities
At Vinarchy, Quality, Health and Safety aren’t box‑ticking exercises, they are part of who we are.
You’ll:
Follow all legislation, policies and procedures
Support corporate social responsibility initiatives
Treat all people with respect and uphold equal opportunity standards
Promote responsible drinking
Work safely and protect people, product and environment
Participate in training, initiatives and rehabilitation processes
Report any concerns that may impact safety, quality or reputation
Above all, you’ll contribute to a strong quality culture and bring a continuous improvement mindset.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Willingness to undertake additional training
Ability to work shifts and overtime, and extended hours during Vintage
Current driver’s licence
Desirable:
Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Microbiology or related field
Experience in a winery or laboratory (chemical and/or microbiological)
Experience with laboratory data management platforms (LIMS)
Why Vinarchy
You’ll join a global, ambitious wine company blending heritage with innovation. You’ll work with passionate people, iconic brands and cutting‑edge technology — and help shape the future of winemaking.
