Trinity Grammar School is looking for a motivated Audio Visual Technician (Lighting Specialist) to join our busy and highly capable AV team. If you love live production, lighting design, and working across a huge variety of events, this is a role where you’ll be hands-on every day—supporting everything from major theatre productions and concerts to live streams, assemblies, and whole-school events.
You’ll be part of a team delivering over 40 major productions each year, as well as supporting more than 160 live events, recordings, and broadcasts. From operating lighting, audio, and video systems to creating and editing digital content, you’ll play a key role in bringing performances and school events to life.
Our AV environment is large and technically advanced, spanning 35+ AV venues and 170+ learning spaces, all moving toward a fully integrated Q-SYS ecosystem across audio, video, and control. You’ll be involved not just in delivery, but also in the ongoing evolution, maintenance, and programming of our AV systems.
We’re after someone with strong experience in lighting and live production, confidence with networked audio, and ideally exposure to Q-SYS, digital audio consoles, and video production workflows. Just as important is a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a willingness to jump into a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
In addition to involvement across the daily life of the School, there will be opportunities to participate in the School’s comprehensive pastoral, sporting and co-curricular programmes. Support for the Christian ethos and wider Christian ministry of the school is expected.
On occasion there are also out of hours functions we ideally would love you to be in attendance for. The office is located at our Summer Hill campus, with plenty of parking available, and access to a wide range of public transport in close proximity to the campus. We can offer the occasional change of scenery whether that be working from our picturesque Outdoor Education campus on the south coast, or maybe just simply a day in your casual attire working remotely, however for the most part, you will be working on-site.
The successful candidate will need to provide a current Working with Children clearance, a current First Aid certificate and be willing to undertake training (online) in Child Protection prior to commencement.
