Job Summary
The APAC Director, FP&A will lead the Customer, Revenue & Tech Finance regional FP&A team and act as the primary finance partner to APAC regional leadership, including Sales SVPs and key cross-functional teams across CRO, Business Partnering Enablement, Controllership, Commercial Finance and related operating functions. This role is focused on delivering sharp regional insight, robust forecast accountability and decision support where the business happens. The Director will translate APAC performance into clear, executive-ready stories on risks, opportunities and the decisions that matter, while ensuring regional inputs are strong, well governed and aligned to global finance processes. The role does not own the mechanics of forecasting. It owns the APAC business context, forecast commitment, assumption quality and clear articulation of the regional outlook, working closely with Business Partnering Enablement and Global Consolidation to ensure the forecast is practical, accurate and decision-ready
Responsibilities
People Leadership
Lead, develop and mentor the APAC regional FP&A team across multiple countries and time zones
Create an inclusive, high-performance environment grounded in ownership, clarity of purpose, talent development and collaborative excellence
Set clear priorities, build capability across the team and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality regional outputs
Partner closely with peers in Global Consolidation and Business Partnering Enablement to ensure strong handoffs, clear accountability and joined-up execution
Strategic & Cross-Functional Business Partnering
Serve as the primary finance partner to APAC regional Sales SVPs and key regional stakeholders across CRO, Commercial Finance, Business Partnering Enablement, Controllership and related business functions
Provide clear, commercially grounded financial advice to support regional decision making, investment priorities, capacity planning and performance management
Turn regional business performance into executive-ready narratives, highlighting key risks, opportunities, trade-offs and recommended actions
Build trusted relationships with senior regional and global leaders, ensuring finance is embedded in the decisions that matter most
Regional Forecast Accountability & Planning
Own the APAC regional forecast commitment, focusing on forecast accuracy, assumption quality, business context and early identification of risks and opportunities
Lead regional inputs into forecasting cycles including bookings, revenue, NFM, backlog and key operating drivers
Partner with Business Partnering Enablement on forecasting models and tools while ensuring outputs reflect business reality
Support capacity and demand planning, bookings outlook, forecast assumptions and scenario analysis
Challenge forecast assumptions constructively and ensure forecasts are clearly explained and aligned with regional context
Regional Performance Management & Insight
Own regional performance analysis across forecast, budget, prior periods and operating metrics
Deliver insight on backlog, reporting, revenue impacts, bookings, presales, utilisation and other non-financial drivers
Identify trends, root causes and performance drivers and translate into actionable recommendations
Provide high-quality materials for business reviews and leadership updates
Governance, Reporting & Global Alignment
Ensure regional forecast submissions are accurate, timely and supported by clear assumptions and risks
Operate within global forecasting standards and governance
Act as key regional link to Global Revenue Finance
Escalate risks and opportunities with clear recommendations
Maintain strong operating rhythms including reporting and performance reviews
Ad-Hoc Analysis & Strategic Projects
Own regional ad-hoc analysis and decision support
Support strategic planning, transformation initiatives and business cases
Provide analytical support for regional leadership decisions
Process Improvement & Capability Building
Improve forecasting, reporting and analysis processes
Leverage automation, AI and analytics tools to improve productivity and insight quality
Adopt global standards while ensuring regional requirements are represented Partner with Business Partnering Enablement to improve quality of regional inputs
Qualifications
12+ years of progressive FP&A, commercial finance, revenue finance or business partnering experience
Strong track record partnering with senior business leadership teams in regional or matrixed organisations
Deep expertise in revenue forecasting, financial modelling, performance analysis and executive reporting
Strong understanding of forecast drivers and ability to challenge inputs and explain movements clearly
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Advanced Excel, Power BI and analytics capability; ERP experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; professional certifications preferred
Strong ownership mindset, adaptability and ability to operate across cultures and time zones
