Position – Truck Driver – General (2 positions available)
Location – Truck Depot: Gillman, SA 5013. This role requires travel across metropolitan Adelaide, regional South Australia, Broken Hill and Mildura.
Salary - $78,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:
We are seeking experienced HR/MC Truck Drivers to join our transport operations team. The successful applicants will be responsible for operating heavy vehicle combinations to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently while maintaining compliance within Australian transport and workplace safety regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE:
· Operate heavy vehicles and trucks to safely transport freight, goods and materials to customer sites and business locations in accordance with delivery schedules.
· Conduct pre-start, enroute and post-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers and associated equipment to ensure roadworthiness, safety and compliance with transport regulations.
· Load, secure, transport and unload cargo using appropriate load restraint techniques and equipment, ensuring freight is safely distributed and protected during transit.
· Plan and follow efficient delivery schedules and transport routes to meet operational requirements while complying with road transport regulations.
· Monitor vehicle performance and identify mechanical faults, damage or maintenance requirements, reporting issues promptly to minimize downtime.
· Complete and maintain accurate delivery documentation, logbooks, electronic work diaries, trip records, inspection reports and proof of delivery documentation.
· Ensure compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), fatigue management requirements, Chain of Responsibility obligations, vehicle mass and dimension limits, and workplace health and safety procedures.
· Liaise effectively with dispatch personnel, warehouse staff, customers and site representatives to coordinate deliveries and resolve transport-related issues.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· Hold a current HR, HC or MC (Multi Combination) truck licence – ESSENTIAL.
· Certificate II in Driving Operations or in a related field (or agreed equivalent of 2 years of relevant work experience to substitute for the qualification).
· Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) work experience transporting freight, goods or materials.
· Demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles safely in metropolitan, regional and/or interstate environments.
· Sound knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and load restraint requirements.
· Ability to load, secure and unload freight safely in accordance with company procedures and relevant legislation.
· Experience completing transport documentation, electronic work diaries, delivery dockets and other required records accurately.
· Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, safe driving practices and compliance with road transport regulations.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with customers, dispatch personnel and team members.
· Excellent time management skills, punctual and reliable work ethic.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends and overtime where required.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
