Key Responsibilities
- Assessing the Occupational Therapy needs of NDIS Participants of all ages
- Delivering evidence-based Occupational Therapy intervention across a range of service areas
- Participating in ongoing professional development and work collaboratively with the Therapy Circles Team.
- Implement person-centered planning practices and enhance the skills and knowledge of families and those who support and care for persons with disability.
- Provide Discipline specific Reports as per NDIS requirements
- Identify opportunities and participate in quality improvement activities in consultation with other staff members of Therapy Circles.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Current AHPRA membership.
- Experience working with people with a disability and community setting.
- Willingness to travel around the Western Suburbs of Melbourne (primarily Werribee, Deer Park and the surrounding suburbs) and work with all age groups as required.
- Willingness to take on a mixed caseload.
- Speaking more than one language is a bonus, but not a requirement unless for a specific participant.
- All levels of experience are welcome to apply.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- High level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong written and computer skills for the creation of plans, programs, reports, correspondence, and other documents.
- Understanding and commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
