About the opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Accounts, the Commercial & Supplier Performance Lead plays a critical role in managing and optimising Australia Post's delivery partner network across Western Australia. You'll be responsible for a portfolio of strategic supplier and service contracts, ensuring suppliers deliver exceptional performance, value, innovation and customer outcomes.
This is a high-impact role that combines end-to-end sourcing and tender management with ongoing supplier relationship management, contract governance and continuous improvement. Working closely with operational leaders and key stakeholders, you'll help ensure our delivery network remains efficient, reliable and positioned to support future growth.
You’ll also
- Lead end-to-end procurement, sourcing and tender activities, including market engagement, supplier evaluations and contract awards.
- Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies aligned to parcel network and operational objectives.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and act as the primary point of contact for commercial and contractual matters.
- Build strong supplier partnerships through regular business reviews, performance discussions and stakeholder engagement.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and drive value through effective contract management and governance.
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and service levels, identifying trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Lead supplier performance improvement initiatives and recovery plans where required.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, finance, legal and risk to ensure effective contract compliance and governance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable efficiencies, innovation and business outcomes.

Thriving in a fast-paced and complex environment, you're comfortable managing competing priorities, solving commercial challenges and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
You’ll also
- Bring experience in procurement, supplier management, contract management, vendor management or commercial management.
- Have demonstrated success managing supplier performance, service delivery outcomes and KPI frameworks.
- Possess strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Have experience managing service-based contracts within logistics, transport, operations, infrastructure or other large, outsourced service environments.
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset and a strong focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
