We are seeking a
Contracts Team Lead
to join our INPEX Contracts and Procurement team in
Perth
on a permanent contract. Join us in helping shape a brighter energy future.
Key responsibilities:
With management support, supervise the team to perform end-to-end contracting processes in compliance with legislation, INPEX governance processes and policies as well as the relevant Joint Operating Agreement(s).
Provide process assurance and coaching across contract lifecycle management, sourcing strategy, contract drafting and interpretation, commercial negotiation, and ensure contracts deliver value and mitigate risk whilst support business objectives
Oversee the support of Contract Owners with the pre-award development of scopes of work and post award contract management to preserve value under the contract and ensure sound contractor performance.
Lead category, sourcing and contract strategies for assigned business areas, as required.
In addition to leadership responsibilities, maintain an allocated portfolio of contracts and sourcing activities, as required.
Monitor workload, priorities and the contract pipeline across advisers to support individual development objectives, demand planning, timely delivery and C&P process compliance.
With manager support, implement professional development, performance management, and capability uplift of direct reports. Plan workload distribution to complement personnel development planning.
Successful
candidates will have:
Bachelor’s Degree Qualification in Commerce, Law or equivalent professional
Demonstrated experience in people leadership or team supervision
CIPS or equivalent qualification in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end contracting activities three or more contract models (eg. EPCM, rates, EPC, fabrication, etc), including sourcing strategy, tendering, award, and post-award contract management, for complex contracts with annual spend exceeding US$100 million within the energy, resources, defence, or similar industries.
Capable of using analytics and spend data to identify trends, risks and opportunities that inform category or sourcing strategy development.
Experience leading commercial negotiations including pricing structures and drafting responses to general conditions of contract tender clarifications for legal review.
Experience using Contract Lifecycle Management Systems (CLMS) and ERP systems i.e., SAP and SAP Ariba, to oversee sourcing projects and post-award contract administration and ongoing contract hygiene and team compliance.
Experience working in a complex Joint Operating Agreement (JOA) and aligning Joint Venture Partners to sourcing strategies and recommended commercial outcomes.
