We are currently seeking two apprentices to join our teams, with one position available at our Artarmon store in Sydney and one at our Wyoming store in Central Coast.
A Bakers Delight Apprenticeship combines hands-on baking with on-the-job training to earn a Certificate III in Retail Baking. You will learn to mix, mould, and bake bread from scratch while working towards a nationally recognized trade qualification.
Core Responsibilities
- Baking & Production: Measure, mix, knead, shape, and bake a wide range of doughs and bread products.
- Quality Control: Monitor dough fermentation, operate commercial ovens, and ensure product finishing meets brand standards.
- Bakery Maintenance: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety.
- Customer Service: Occasionally assist with front-of-house service, helping customers and restocking display cases.
Key Requirements
- Early Riser: Must be comfortable with early morning shifts, often starting between 2 AM and 4 AM.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, eager to learn a trade, and highly capable of working on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
- No Experience Needed: While previous baking experience is a bonus, it is not required. A positive attitude and a passion for craftsmanship are the most important factors.
Pay: $52,334.43 – $54,071.13 per year
