Freightquip is an Australian owned and operated business with more than 25 years' experience supporting customers across the Aviation, Rail and Ports industries throughout Australia and New Zealand.
We're looking for an organised and proactive People & Safety Coordinator to join our team.
This is a varied coordination role supporting our day-to-day People, HR, Workplace Health & Safety and compliance activities.
We're open to different backgrounds. You might be an experienced HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, Safety Administrator, WHS Coordinator or experienced business administrator looking for an opportunity to broaden your experience.
You don't need to be an expert across both HR and Safety – experience in either area, combined with strong administration skills and a willingness to learn, could make you a great fit.
Reporting into the Head of Health & Safety you will be working with managers across the business & you'll assist with a broad range of activities including:
Maintaining employee and compliance records.
Monitoring licences, training, medicals and certifications.
WHS administration and maintaining safety registers.
Coordinating safety actions, inspections and documentation.
Supporting our ISO management systems and audits.
Maintaining policies, procedures and controlled documents.
Employee communications and engagement activities.
Employee onboarding and offboarding.
Recruitment and pre-employment administration.
Preparing employment and HR documentation.
General People, Safety and compliance coordination.
It's a hands-on role where you'll have the opportunity to work across different parts of the business and progressively build your knowledge and responsibilities.
We're looking for someone who is organised, forwart thinking and able to learn on the go.
Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience in HR, WHS, compliance or a similar administration/coordination role.
Experience working in a blue-collar environment and a multi-site business is advantageous
Strong administration and organisational skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Confidence following up employees and managers when required.
The ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
Strong computer and systems skills.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience with ISO systems, HR compliance or WHS would be an advantage, but we're equally interested in finding someone with the right administration experience and attitude who can grow into the role.
You'll join an established Australian business operating across specialised industries, with the opportunity to gain exposure across People, Safety, compliance and business operations.
If you're an experienced Administrator or Coordinator looking for a varied role where you can develop your HR and Safety experience, we'd love to hear from you.
