As a Project SEARCH - Coach you will provide coaching and mentoring for our Project SEARCH interns , you will work with our interns who live with a disability to live a full and contributing life utilising NDIS supports via their individualised support plan. You will be responsible for supporting them in a Host Employer setting throughout an internship period, whilst delivering relevant supports.
A day in the role involves…
- Screening potential interns for program eligibility
- Liaising with employers and managers at the host site and creating solutions to support them at work
- Building and maintaining relationships with potential employers and community organisations
- Facilitating Skills Assessment Days and pre-learning with interns prior to Internship commencement
- Increasing your participants' employability through training and other support services
- Contributing to regular Steering Committee meetings

What will you bring to the role?
- Previous experience working within Disability Employment Services and/or the NDIS sector
- Experience in the engagement of stakeholders and development of mutually beneficial relationships
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Highly developed planning, coordination, and time management skills, along with attention to detail
- Effective support skills for people with a disability
- Demonstrates qualities of empathy, compassion and integrity
- Understanding of and ability in the internship process
- Interest in sales and marketing techniques
- Computer literacy and the ability to learn new computer systems
- You will thrive on our key attributes of Customer Centricity, Curiosity, Resilience, Adaptability, Creativity and a Growth Mindset while supporting a diverse range of clients into environments they are passionate about
