The opportunity
As the Senior Business Analyst for BIG WX, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial governance, performance analytics, and strategic growth for our expanding eCom and external marketplace channels. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional leadership by transforming complex data into high-impact commercial insights. Your work will directly influence customer, trade, and profitability decisions in a fast-paced, innovative retail ecosystem.
What you’ll do

Deliver advanced analytics and strategic recommendations across sales, gross profit, pricing, range, and basket profitability.

Manage financial governance, reconciliation processes, month-end closes, and P&L reporting for external marketplace channels.

Partner cross-functionally with eCom, Commercial, Operations, Data, and Technology teams to drive strategic and financial goals.

Design operational scorecards and visualizations to provide executive leadership with real-time, reliable metrics

Translate complex, ambiguous business requests into clear problem statements, success criteria, and measurable commercial outcomes.

Champion continuous improvement by leveraging new data tools and AI capabilities to streamline financial reporting and insights.
What you’ll bring
-
At least five years of experience in a Finance, Commercial Analytics, or Operations Finance role, preferably within retail.

Advanced competency in GCP, SAP, and Google Suite, with exposure to platforms like BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, or Connected Sheets.

Proven ability to synthesise large volumes of complex data into simple, structured, and accurate business insights.

Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a track record of partnering across data engineering and commercial teams.

Strong structured troubleshooting abilities to identify root causes and design effective business solutions.

An agile, growth-oriented mindset with high resilience to manage competing priorities and deliver consistent results.
