As the Senior Investigation and Compliance Officer, you will lead compliance and enforcement activities across the municipality and provide direction and support to Regulatory Services Rangers. You will oversee complex investigations, manage regulatory complaints, prepare prosecution briefs, review contested infringements and provide expert advice on investigation and compliance matters. The role also involves stakeholder engagement, court attendance, case auditing and contributing to the development of regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
You are an experienced investigations professional with a background in regulatory compliance, law enforcement or a similar enforcement environment. You have demonstrated experience undertaking complex investigations, interpreting legislation, preparing prosecution briefs and managing difficult situations. With strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, you can build productive relationships and deliver fair, effective compliance outcomes. You hold, or can obtain, the required certifications and qualifications, including a First Aid Certificate, Ochre Card and Diploma in Government Investigations (or similar).
