As a member of our clinical team you will be planning, evaluating and delivering care to patients with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients. We are looking for an experienced Orthopaedic Registered Nurse who demonstrates high-quality, evidence-based nursing care, with strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Using your knowledge of orthopaedic conditions, surgical procedures and post-operative care. You will support preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative care, patient education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and rehabilitation & recovery.
On Ward 47 (Ortho), you can expect to care for multiple specialties including complex muscular-skeletal cases. Our Nurse Educators will provide support transitioning into the new hospital and help to build knowledge and skill in the specialties cared for.
About You
You will be a trained nurse with strong customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

Relevant qualifications and registrations with AHPRA as an Registered Nurse (Essential).

Previous experience working in an acute care, pre- and post-surgical environment.

Flexibility to work a rotating 7-day roster is essential

Knowledge of orthopaedic conditions, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.

Demonstrates excellent time management and organisational skills

Work well with a team.
