As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.
NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, through our community-based services and health centres. Our multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers take a collaborative approach to mental health care by linking with their patients to work together and consult within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.
This is an opportunity to practice at the top of your profession with young people whose needs are complex, high‑risk and deeply impactful. As a YMHI Clinical Psychologist, you will deliver advanced, specialist psychological care to young people engaged with headspace services across Penrith and Hawkesbury. This position will work across Headspace Penrith and Headspace Hawkesbury Offices.
Your role will span comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessment, diagnostic clarification, risk formulation and care planning, alongside the delivery of evidence‑based individual, group and family interventions. You will bring sophisticated formulation skills across neurodevelopmental, cognitive and functional domains, contributing to integrated, trauma‑informed and youth‑focused care within a short‑term intervention model.
As a senior clinician, you will work with a high degree of autonomy while providing clinical leadership, supervision and service development to Headspace and Child and Youth Mental Health staff within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. You will sit alongside clinicians from the Early Psychosis Intervention program and report to the Youth Mental Health Clinical Lead, playing a key role in shaping high‑quality psychological care across the service.
This is not a routine clinical role, it is demanding, meaningful and influential, offering the chance to make a profound difference in the lives of young people at critical points in their mental health journey. Apply Now
