A busy and growing custom apparel and promotional products business based in Edwardstown, SA is seeking a reliable and experienced Production Assistant to join our production team full time.
This is a hands-on role best suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has previous experience operating embroidery machines and heat press equipment.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows initiative, and can be relied upon to consistently deliver high-quality production outcomes also enjoys work under pressure.
About the Role
Experience in the field would be an advantage but not necessary as we will provide training for successful applicants on the job.
This position involves computer usage as well as operating and maintaining embroidery & heat press machines.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Operating embroidery machines, Heat Pressing Garments & Promotional Products
- Preparing artwork and production files
- Machine setup, threading, backing and garment preparation
- Quality checking finished products
- Packing and dispatching orders
- Maintaining a clean and organised production area
- Assisting with general production duties as required
- Answer phones and gather information needed for completing quotes and production jobs.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Reliability, Accountability, attention to detail, Punctuality, and the ability to multitask are key.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with software such as Pulse, Adobe illustrator or CorelDRAW highly regarded
