THE ROLE
The Scheduler has a vital role in scheduling the supervision and transportation of children to and from their family contact. All work is undertaken within the framework of Child Protection legislation, practice guidelines and best interest principles.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Organisation
Referrals: accept screened Child Protection referrals from the Family Contact and Support Unit (FC&S) Team Manager for cases where a FC&S Case Support Worker is required to facilitate a transport and/or contact between children and their families. Allocate referrals to case support workers, whilst ensuring resources are also booked, such as access rooms, cars etc.
- Engaging others
Collaboration: engages well with families, practitioners and teams, agencies, services and the community to effectively facilitate transports and contacts. Is polite and considerate in dealing with others. Demonstrates the ability to engage with professionals in matters relating to transport and access.
- Delivering results
Business operations: Records information using the appropriate departmental systems (such as the Client Relationship Information System - CRIS). Uses IT and web-based applications as required, and in line with departmental guidelines and privacy principles. Seeks guidance from the supervisor, team manager and other team members when unsure of appropriate action.
