Qualification – A diploma level education in a highly relevant field is a must.
Experience Required - Must have minimum of 2 years of relevant experienceas a residential care officer.

Duties:
· Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in adult service units and group homes, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing are maintained at all times.
· Assess the needs, goals, and capabilities of clients through interviews, observations, and collaboration with family members, allied health professionals, and support coordinators.
· Develop, implement, and monitor personalised care and support plans, incorporating education, behavioural strategies, social participation, and daily living skills to enhance each client’s independence and quality of life.
· Facilitate daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, feeding assistance, mobility, medication support, and continence management, ensuring client dignity and comfort.
· Encourage and support the development of life skills, such as budgeting, communication, personal safety, and decision-making, to build client confidence and autonomy.
· Organise and participate in recreational, cultural, and community engagement programs that promote inclusion, social interaction, and personal development.
· Provide emotional and behavioural support to clients, employing de-escalation and positive behaviour management techniques where required.
· Monitor and document client progress and behaviour, maintaining accurate records, incident reports, care plans, and progress notes in line with organisational and regulatory standards.
· Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers, therapists, and healthcare professionals, to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to care delivery.
· Uphold health, safety, and infection control standards by maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive environment and adhering to workplace health and safety policies.
· Respond promptly and effectively to incidents and emergencies, implementing risk management and crisis response procedures in accordance with organisational guidelines.
· Advocate for clients’ rights and wellbeing, ensuring that care and support are delivered with respect, confidentiality, and compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct and person-centred principles.
· You may be required to work with offenders on probation or parole
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
