The opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Maintenance team at our Duketon operation. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will play a key role in supporting the site maintenance function to achieve electrical reliability and maintenance excellence across our processing operations.
This position is responsible for developing and implementing electrical reliability strategies, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and providing technical leadership to maintenance teams. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Projects and Engineering stakeholders, you will focus on improving asset performance, reducing risk and maximising equipment reliability across the processing plant.
This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) from Perth.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Developing and implementing electrical reliability strategies across processing plant assets
Leading reliability improvement programs, including Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) methodologies
Driving electrical risk reduction and improving equipment reliability and performance
Applying Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and other reliability techniques to optimise asset performance
Analysing equipment failures and implementing corrective and preventative actions
Managing and optimising preventative, predictive and condition-based maintenance programs
Leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
Overseeing electrical asset lifecycle planning, upgrades and commissioning activities
Monitoring reliability metrics through CMMS platforms, including MTBF and MTTR analysis
Delivering regular electrical reliability reporting and recommendations to senior management
Providing technical leadership, coaching and development support to maintenance personnel and contractors
- Driving initiatives that improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and operational performance
Skills and Experiences:
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering
Demonstrated experience in electrical engineering, asset management and reliability within mining, processing or heavy industrial environments
Strong knowledge of HV and LV electrical systems in a mining or industrial environment
Experience developing maintenance and asset lifecycle strategies to improve asset reliability and operational performance
Proven capability in failure investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementation of sustainable corrective actions
Experience developing and optimising preventative, predictive and condition-based maintenance programs
Sound understanding of Western Australian statutory electrical and Work Health & Safety requirements
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Maintenance, Projects and contractor teams
Proven ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high quality outcomes
Excellent communication, technical reporting and problem solving skills
