Job description:
Industry Maintenance Construction Pty Ltd is seeking three (3) experienced and qualified Renderers (Solid Plaster) to join our growing team based in Darwin, with opportunities to work in remote locations when required.
The successful candidate will need to undertake the following duties:
- Prepare internal and external surfaces by cleaning, dampening, and treating substrates to ensure proper adhesion of plaster, cement, and render materials
- Mix render, cement, and plaster to required ratios and consistencies בהתאם to job specifications and environmental conditions
- Apply base, scratch, and finishing coats of solid plaster/render using hand and power tools (e.g., trowels, floats)
- Level and align surfaces to achieve uniform thickness and accurate vertical/horizontal planes
- Form clean corners, edges, and junctions in line with architectural standards
- Produce decorative and textured finishes, including patterned or polished render effects
- Install and finish plaster features such as cornices, mouldings, and architectural details
- Repair and resurface existing plaster/rendered walls, including patching and defect correction
- Apply protective coatings to improve durability and weather resistance of exterior surfaces
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and relevant building codes
Skills & Requirements:
- Certificate IV qualification or higher (or minimum 3 years relevant work experience)
- Strong knowledge of plastering and rendering techniques
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
