Your Opportunity
As the School Engagement Consultant you will:
Be responsible for the increase of the region's local training for schools across the entire region through TAFE at School programs and partnerships.
Work closely with Managers and delivery teams to identify and develop market opportunities for revenue, contribute to the development of TAFE at School strategy plans and converts sales leads into viable business opportunities.
Foster strong client and stakeholder relationships to maintain and increase existing revenue streams.
This position reports to the Manager, Marketing and Sales.
This is a Temporary Full-Time opportunity to 27 January, 2027 unless otherwise determined.
The position can be based at any campus within the TQEC region however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Commerciality, Teamwork, Innovation and Accountability.
Build and manage collaborative relationships and networks with secondary schools and other higher educational providers to promote priority pathways and collaboration opportunities and maximise engagement.
Manage the promotion, communication and nomination process for all TAFE at Schools programs across the entire region, ensuring milestones are met for mainstream programs, contracts and customised arrangements
Initiate TAFE at School promotional activities and marketing initiative to enhance communication and brand reputation specifically for TAFE at School.
Conceptualise, coordinate, organise and implement the planning of events and engagement activities, including the TAFE at Schools forum and school events with key stakeholders.
Develop sophisticated levels of product knowledge and collaborate with the industry to identify market opportunities. Remain current with the schools and training environment, understand relevant education reform and identify emerging markets for growth.
Identify, negotiate and secure new business opportunities for education products in the relevant industry sector to achieve organisational revenue targets.
Build rapport with clients, develop and maintain strong business relationships to provide effective account management and grow commercial opportunities. Provide high level customer service and respond to client challenges whilst encouraging continued business growth.
Ensure compliance with TAFE at Schools policy and other regional policies and procedures.
Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions and contribute to the improvement agenda in business processes and practices.
Understand contractual terms and manage ongoing obligations which result in contractual financial performance, risk management, and continuance/renewal.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be flexible and responsive to customers and the changing market needs to achieve organisational outcomes.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills including the preparation and presentation of web sites and reports.
Demonstrate ability to take personal responsibility for accurate completion of work as well as the ability to effectively coordinate and administer the TAFE at Schools program.
Well-developed interpersonal communication skills including the ability to build and sustain partnerships with schools and other higher training providers.
Display the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
There are no mandatory requirements for this role.
Highly Desirable Requirements
Substantial knowledge or experience working in the education sector.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with particular emphasis in the areas of building effective relationships, consultation, negotiation and collaboration in order to meet organisational needs.
Strong business acumen including the ability to prepare professional business communication such as reports, presentations, projects, planning and contracts with demonstrated ability to operate effectively with relevant systems and identify opportunity for continual improvement.
Bachelor in Business or other related discipline of significant equivalent experience.
