What you’ll be doing
- Operating plant equipment such as Excavator, Loader and Forklift.
- Supporting daily transfer station operations
- Eventually assisting with Weighbridge transactions, taking payments and providing customer service.
- Handling and moving waste materials across the facility
- Loading/unloading waste, stockpiling, and processing materials
- Screening and sorting different waste streams to ensure correct disposal
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience as a plant operator, yard hand or labouring
- Excavator, Loader & Forklift tickets and/or experience are not required but desirable
- Previous experience in landfill or waste facility experience is beneficial
- Waste industry and transfer station experience highly regarded
- Willingness to work in a hands-on environment
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to safety
