Sonographer, Vascular (Varicose Vein Clinic)
The Vein Institute and Spider Veins Australia is a doctor-led specialist vascular clinic focused on the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of varicose and spider veins. We are seeking a sonographer with vascular experience, or a general sonographer with venous mapping exposure keen to develop further, to join our team in a supportive, patient-focused environment.
This is a rare chance to work in a niche area with a manageable caseload and a small, friendly team. The role suits a candidate who values clinical quality, flexibility and autonomy.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform bilateral lower limb venous duplex ultrasound scans
- Provide pre-operative venous mapping and post-treatment assessments for ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy and Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA)
- Provide real-time ultrasound guidance to doctors during procedures
- Operate GE ultrasound machines in a modern, well-resourced clinic
- Work independently and in collaboration with our medical team
- Optional travel to our Melbourne and Canberra clinics, with travel incentives provided
Requirements:
- ASAR-accredited sonographer
- Vascular ultrasound experience preferred
- General sonographers with some venous mapping exposure welcome to apply
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient-centred care
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Able to work autonomously in a small, efficient clinic
